The MP Food Pantry is always accepting non-perishable food donations for families in our community. 

Please consider dropping by Village Hall to make a donation.

Check your Friday packet for order/pick up dates at Fairview. 

Stop by any Market Day/Sara Lee location to pick up your Market Day favorites for your family and earn money for Fairview PTA at the same time.   VOLUNTEERS ALWAYS NEEDED AT SITE SALES :)  Our school code for Fairview is #1179

The LINK, published bi-weekly, is a newsletter created by the Fairview PTA.  Please click in the the word LINK to download an issue(s) for your family.  Announcements or reminders to be published in the LINK should be submitted to Kate Gilhooly by the Tuesday before it's publication.  The LINK mailbox is located in the front office or email gilhooly4@yahoo.com


WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP?


The LRC Needs Your Help!

The LRC receives at least 1200 visits from students every week. Volunteers are needed to keep the library running without reducing services.  No experience necessary. All jobs are easy to learn and training will be provided.  Ideal shifts for volunteering are 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 1:00 - 3:30 PM.      Questions?  Please contact Mrs. Oh, school librarian at 847.394.7320 or Trisha Hutchins at 847.758.3053  

Collect Campbell's Soup Labels

Please clip and send in any Campbell's Soup labels for an easy way to earn money for Fairview School.  Let your student(s) go on a scavenger hunt through the pantry to find the valuable labels on soup, crackers, Pepperidge Farm items and many other products.  Thanks!



Collect Box Tops for Education 

Box Tops            

Please continue to collect Box Tops for Education from various products.  Last year just over $1700.00 was collected for Fairview School....this year's goal is over $2000   Keep saving those tops!  Be sure to check the Downloads section of this webpage to print your own list of qualifying products.


Recycle Ink Cartridges at School

All Fairview students receive a book from Dr. Swalwell on their birthday or half birthday. Books are selected in May by the Chairperson and then wrapped in June by volunteers.

CRAFT FAIRCraft Fair is held the Fall this year. Responsibilities include offering tables to local crafters/merchants, organizing event and running a drawing during the event.

FIFTH GRADE ACTIVITIES

Hold monthly fund raisers to purchase t-shirts, designed by 5th graders, to be worn at FV social events planned for the year. Organize social events in conjunction with Lions Park. Present an end-of-the-year gift to Fairview.

 FUN FAIR

Plan and coordinate an annual Spring fund raising event for entire school. Volunteers make this event a success!

Provide refreshments for school functions and coordinate Volunteer Dinner in Spring. Volunteers are needed to bake, serve and/or clean up for events.

Collect local food donations, decorate and cook for pancake breakfast in February. Typically a DAD run event!

Designed to help Kindergarten families get acquainted. Summer picnic and different events throughout school year encourage students to meet new friends.

LEAPIN' INTO LITERATURE

Program giving parents opportunities to read new books during recess in February and donate books to the LRC. Volunteers assist in selecting, reviewing, and reading books to students.

Assist with various tasks during school year on a flexible schedule format. Volunteers needed for two book fairs held during December and May.

Educate families on information regarding national, state, and community legislative matters as they relate to school funding, programs, or services.

Coordinate monthly fund raiser with Market Day Corp. and organize volunteers to distribute/tally orders, unpack delivery truck, pre-sort orders once a month. Supports many events!

Dr. Chiao Learning Center

 Dr. Leroy Chiao was present  for the ribbon cutting and opening of the DCLC on May 12, 2005.  Thank you to all who donated their time and effort to complete this wonderful project.  A special THANKS to the gentlemen who gave so much of their free time to build such a wonderful center for all the students.  You are a shining star!  Thank you!
