Welcome to our staff website!  As Literacy Support Service Coach for primary students, I’m happy to have the opportunity to introduce myself.  I have been a member of District 57’s staff since 1994 with Fairview being my “home away from home” for the past thirteen years.  I’ve had the pleasure of providing reading support for boys and girls from Kindergarten through 5th grade.  It is a privilege to assist students, parents, and teachers in developing both the skill and love for reading that is essential to the children’s success.

My current role in L.S.S. focuses on Fairview’s first and second graders.  While decoding, fluency, and comprehension strategies are at the heart of the instruction I offer, it’s really the love of learning with ability to think and problem solve that underlies my support as individuals learn to read.  The pride and growth within each child is what I witness and delight in every day.
