Welcome to my web page!  I am Mrs. Schubmehl, your child's first grade teacher.  This is my fourth year here at Fairview School and my third year teaching first grade.  I obtained a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Teacher Leadership through Roosevelt University.  During your child's school year I hope to work with you as a team to ensure a successful education opportunity for your child.  First grade is an extraordinary year for young children.  This is the year where much of their basic foundations are learned and built upon in both reading and mathematics.  I look forward to a successful school year!
